Tuesday evening......

OK, we're home again, more or less just in time to turn around and drive back to Dover again!

Trying to put a positive spin on things; at least we found out we should be able to update the blog over the mobile when we eventually do swim..... !


Anyway, I thought I'd take this oportunity to upload a couple of photo's:


Firstly, here's Anastasia, our pilot boat. I've boarded her twice, but never left the marina.






And here, just to prove the tan is real (from the Dover swims)...... you can also see I'm putting the weight on - now I don't want to any more!






And here's the Dover gang: On the left is Freda (The Channel General) who organises all the swimmers along with the capable help of Irene (right), and Irene's husband Barrie - The Shingle Stomper - who tirelessly provides feeds to all the swimmers. These people all give up their whole weekend, every weekend between May and September, for no financial gain, to help people who aspire to swim the Channel. They are fantastic!




I realise I don't have a picture of the team together - in the light - I'll have to sort that out on Thursday....... when we swim!
